2025 Commencement Ceremony
On June 14, DULA proudly held its 43rd Commencement Ceremony alongside the annual WOW Gala. This year, 14 students from the Master program and 14 from the Doctor program graduated, surrounded by their families and friends.
Distinguished guests from Korea, including Chairman Dongwan and President Jae Woong Yoon of Dongguk University, traveled to Los Angeles to honor the occasion. Both delivered heartfelt speeches filled with encouragement and pride for the graduating class. Also in attendance was U.S. Congresswoman Judy Chu of California’s 28th District, who gave a powerful keynote address emphasizing the need for greater legal and systemic support for Eastern medicine in the U.S. healthcare system.
Valedictorian honor was awarded to Viviana Byun, while Joyce Kim was named Salutatorian. The Leadership Award was presented to Joonhan Kim for his contributions as student club president. Jieun Lee received the Clinic Internship Award for her consistent excellence and empathy in patient care. She also delivered a warm and inspiring speech on behalf of the graduating class.
Graduates received their diplomas along with congratulatory gifts from Chairman Don Gwan and President Yoon, marking the end of their academic journey and the beginning of their professional path.
