At Dongguk University Los Angeles (DULA), our clinic supervisors and professional acupuncturists are meticulously selected based on their outstanding achievements, expertise, and clinical practice in their respective fields, as well as their supervisory and instructional skills. Our team brings a wealth of multidisciplinary experiences, knowledge, skills, and competency to our clinic, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care. Many of our practitioners have also played a significant role in developing our clinical programs, contributing to both academic excellence and practical proficiency.

DULA’s Whole Health Clinic supervisors and professional acupuncturists provide comprehensive care using East Asian Medicine for a wide range of conditions. These include, but are not limited to, pain management, fertility, women’s health, common colds, digestive issues, stress, mental health, autoimmune conditions, aging support, pediatrics, and immune system support. Our practitioners have developed specialized skills in specific treatments, ensuring personalized and effective care for each patient.

Stephan Seo, Ph.D. (China), L.Ac.
Clinic Director
Dr. Stephan Seo is the Director of the Whole Health Clinic and a Core Faculty member at Dongguk University Los Angeles. He earned his Ph.D. from Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and his MSOM from Dongguk University Los Angeles. Dr. Seo specializes in Acupuncture, where he combines his extensive knowledge and clinical expertise to provide exceptional care and education. His contributions are integral to maintaining the high standards of patient treatment and academic excellence at DULA's Whole Health Clinic.
Heiwon Lee, DAOM, Ph.D., L.Ac.
Supervisor
Dr. Heiwon Lee brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Whole Health Clinic at Dongguk University Los Angeles. She earned her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Dongguk University, her Ph.D. from Yuin University, and Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from Samra University. Additionally, she holds a Master of Arts from the University of Bridgeport and a Bachelor of Arts from Chung Ang University in Seoul. Dr. Lee specializes in internal medicine, psychological disorders, and knee pain, providing comprehensive care and expertise to her patients and students alike.
Qiwei Zheng, MD (China), DAOM, L.Ac.
Supervisor
Dr. Qiwei Zheng is a distinguished member of our faculty and serves as a Clinic Supervisor at Dongguk University Los Angeles. He holds an MD in Neurology from Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and an MS in Medicine from the Institute of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr. Zheng also earned his DAOM from South Baylo University. His areas of expertise include East Asian Medicine, Acupuncture, Herbology, and Neurology.
Meredith (Chunyi) Qian, MD (China), L.Ac.
Supervisor
Dr. Meredith Qian is a distinguished Clinic Supervisor at Dongguk University Los Angeles. She holds an MD in Medicine from AnHui College of Medicine and an MS in Medicine from the China Academy of Chinese Medicine. With a robust background in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr. Qian's expertise lies in the treatment of Gynecological Disorders and Infertility. Her extensive clinical experience and dedication to patient care contribute significantly to the comprehensive healthcare services provided at DULA's Whole Health Clinic.
Wung Gyu (Bon) Hwang, L.Ac.
Supervisor
Professor Wung Gyu Hwang is an esteemed Clinic Supervisor at Dongguk University Los Angeles, specializing in herbology and East Asian Medicine. He holds a B.S. in Korean Medicine from Kyung Nam University and an MSOM from Royal University. Professor Hwang's extensive knowledge of herbal medicine and traditional East Asian medical practices plays a vital role in guiding students through their clinical training. His approach combines rigorous supervision with practical, hands-on experience, ensuring that students develop the skills necessary to become proficient and compassionate practitioners. Professor Hwang's commitment to excellence in patient care and education is evident in his meticulous oversight and thoughtful mentorship in the clinic.

Jessie Yamasaki-Sanders serves as a Licensed Acupuncturist and Clinic Coordinator at Dongguk University Los Angeles. Coming from a background focused on Neuroscience research before moving into grassroots projects aimed at improving accessibility and equity in the wellness industry, she ultimately found a deep connection with Eastern philosophy’s understanding of the natural elements, our bodies, and how everything is inextricably connected. She holds both a Master's in Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine and a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine from Dongguk University.
