DULA Clinic Participates in LAFD Civilian Wellness Day

Dongguk University Los Angeles proudly participated in the LAFD Civilian Wellness Day, organized by the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) Wellness Section, on June 17, 2026, at the Frank Hotchkin Memorial Training Center. The event provided an opportunity for the DULA Clinic to support the health and well-being of LAFD civilian employees through traditional East Asian medicine services.
Representing the university were Clinic Manager Yoo Kyong Kim, Clinic Education Manager Jaewon Kwag, and student interns Hana Lee (Level 3) and Jessica Chun (Level 1). Working together, the team provided a variety of wellness treatments, including cupping therapy, Gua Sha therapy, and Tuina therapy. Despite the limited space available at the event, the team successfully delivered high-quality care to participants throughout the morning.
During the event, the DULA Clinic provided wellness services to 33 participants and distributed 27 complimentary clinic coupons, encouraging attendees to continue their care at the university clinic. The event also gave student interns valuable hands-on experience while serving the local community under professional supervision.
Through community outreach programs like this, Dongguk University Los Angeles continues to strengthen its partnership with local organizations while promoting the benefits of traditional East Asian medicine and providing meaningful clinical learning opportunities for its students.
