From September 24 to 28, 2024, the student club The Dongbul from Dongguk University Los Angeles visited South Korea, accompanied by Professor Stephan Seo and staff member Gus Pio.
The seven students toured Dongguk University’s main campus in Seoul and attended a lunch meeting with the Chairman Monk. They also participated in the Young Camp event, joining over 3,000 students from Dongguk University Korea.
The group experienced a temple stay at Bongeun-sa and visited the historic Jogyesa Temple. A key highlight of the trip was the visit to Dongguk University Ilsan Hospital.
The trip concluded at Gwanghwamun with the World Meditation Gathering, where the students joined fellow Buddhists for a group meditation.
